Montessori Preschool Program
Our Preschool Program at The Redwoods International Montessori is designed for children ages 3 to 5. In this stage, children’s curiosity blossoms as they become eager to explore, ask questions, and practice independence. Through carefully prepared Montessori classrooms, children engage in hands-on activities that develop foundational academic, social, and practical life skills.
Each day offers opportunities for language growth, early math exploration, cultural studies, and creative expression through art and music. With guidance from our Montessori-trained teachers, preschoolers learn to take responsibility for their choices, work collaboratively with peers, and discover joy in their accomplishments. Our program fosters confidence and a strong sense of self, preparing children for success in kindergarten and beyond.
Montessori Kindergarten Program
Our Montessori Kindergarten Program is the culmination of the early childhood journey, serving children in their final year before elementary school. During this stage, children solidify and expand on the skills gained in preschool, developing deeper focus, advanced problem-solving abilities, and a readiness for academic challenges.
The kindergarten year emphasizes leadership within the classroom, as older children serve as role models for younger peers. Academics become more advanced, with enriched opportunities in language, mathematics, science, and cultural studies. Equally important, children continue to build social and emotional maturity, resilience, and independence.

How is Montessori Preschool different from traditional preschool?
Montessori Preschool emphasizes hands-on learning, independence, and child-led exploration. Rather than following a set pace for the whole class, children progress at their own rhythm with individualized guidance from teachers.
What will my child learn in the Preschool and Kindergarten Programs?

Are the hours the same as the Toddler Program?
Yes. Both Preschool and Kindergarten Programs operate from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, providing families with consistency and flexibility.
